Born and raised in Southeast L.A., Marvin grew up surrounded by the vibrant and overlapping cultures of Latin America—a blend that continues to influence his creative voice. While music was always his first passion, a major life transition in 2010 brought him to Canada and, with it, a shift in focus.

With the challenges of immigration and rebuilding in a new country, Marvin placed his aspirations in music on hold. What began as a creative outlet soon became a profession—photography became his language for over a decade. But in 2020, he made the quiet decision to return to the pursuit that started it all: composing music for film & video games.

Since then, Marvin has been steadily carving a path in the Vancouver and Toronto film communities, scoring short films and visual stories with an ear for emotion and a deep respect for narrative. His work bridges the visual and the sonic—often drawing on his photographer’s eye to shape his approach to composition.
